A few times every year the guys help move, sort & brand cattle for Rowdy Barry (bottom pictures) & at the Waverly Ranch, out of Pomeroy. The upper pictures were taken at the Waverly Ranch. It a beautiful place, full of history. The corrals & gates are all made of logs w/no store-bought materials, and the old post office/one-room school is still standing on the property.
It's gorgeous country as you can see...
Tired ponies, getting a break
Beautiful country, but rugged! You need a good horse under you for this kind of riding. The cows were at the bottom & had to be moved up & over these hills
